Uses of Oil

In Ayurveda, oil is used as a versatile cure to increase health and well-being of the body. The Brahmi-Amla oil is used to prevent the graying and falling of hair and also to produce a good sleep. Sesamum oil when used rationally in the ears prevents deafness, removes ear-diseases, stiffness in throat to name a few. Oil when rubbed in the feet besides soothing action and relaxation to nerves, helps to remove roughness, dryness, numbness of feet, fissures of the feet and even helps erases sciatic pain. Body massage with gingilly oil or 'Narayan tailam' helps to remove 'Kapha' and excess fat and makes the limbs strong. Thus careful and wise use of the humble natural cold-pressed oils produce benefits unseen of. It is great to make use of this natural commodity regularly and experience the benefits.
